Tabreed is a well respected and highly experienced district cooling scheme developer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its headquarters based in Khobar, Eastern Province. It is operated as closed joint stock company between Tabreed, ACWA Holding, Almutlaq Group and LAMA Holding and runs a current contracted capacity of 222,000 tons of refrigeration.

The Joint venture between Tabreed, ACWA Holding, Almutlaq Group and LAMA Holding has been utilised in creating a company that brings together a powerful combination of experience, business acumen and technical excellence, thus in Saudi Tabreed creating a private company that excels in providing an innovative and energy efficient cooling service while constantly investing in the future of the Saudi Arabia.

As a district cooling service provider Saudi Tabreed develops and invests in many district cooling schemes, providing flexible, long term contracts in the supply of cooling to a range of customers.

Our Subsidiaries

Saudi Tabreed follows the strategy of a distributed profit centre business philosophy in welcoming partners who bring synergy to the Saudi Tabreed business model. Currently Saudi Tabreed has formed multiple joint venture companies in partnership with regional and local main players, or as fully owned subsidiaries.

The company and its project companies include Saudi Dhahran District Cooling Company (SDCC), Central District Cooling Company (CDCC) and the Operation and Maintenance for District Cooling Systems (STOM).

Saudi Dhahran District Cooling Company (SDCC)

This special purpose venture was created to supply chilled water to various Aramco facilities in Dhahran.

Saudi Dhahran District Cooling Company has a current capacity of 32,000 TR and is a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Tabreed. The company is registered in Saudi Arabia, Eastern Province with Saudi Tabreed and ACWA Holding as partners within the company.

Central District Cooling Company (CDCC)

The Central District Cooling Company venture was designed to supply chilled water to various commercial and residential buildings within the Jabal Omar Development.

With a total capacity of 55,000 TR the Central District Cooling Company was formed in association with (JODC) Jabal Omar Development Company and is based in Makkah, KSA.

Operation and Maintenance Company for District Cooling Systems (STOM)

STOM is a fully owned subsidiary created in 2010 to cater for the operation and maintenance of district cooling facilities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

STOM is currently entered into two twenty-five year long-term contracts with Saudi Dhahran District Cooling Company and the Central District Cooling Company where it is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Saudi Aramco and Jabal Omar. King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is currently entered in to a ten year contract with STOM.
