Saudi Tabreed was awarded the prestigious Saudi Aramco Dhahran Area District Cooling Provider contract, in May 2010 by Saudi Aramco to provide the District Cooling Services to Aramco Dhahran office complexes under a 25-year long term service agreement
This is the first ever major outsourcing contract signed by Saudi Aramco with Saudi Tabreed for district cooling services. The initial design capacity of the Plant is 27,000 TR and has been extended to 32,000 TR along with 14.5 KM of pipe network.
This contract is to Design, Engineer, Finance, Build, Own and Operate the District Cooling Plant and Pipe network infrastructure within the Saudi Aramco Dhahran area office complex structured under a long-term project financing. The main EPC contractor for the project is SNC Lavalin Arabia who has executed many District Cooling Projects in the Middle East region.
